LATEST NEWS
Season:
Our target shooting season runs on Saturdays from early February through to mid December.
Gong Shoot Program (Precision Steel Series):
On selected Saturday mornings we hold gong shooting matches which form our Precision Steel Series run separate to our normal afternoon Club Matches. The are two formats of gong shooting run, i.e., Standard Format which emulates normal competitions in prone shooting position and Advanced Format which emulates the Precision Service Rifle (PSR) and Precision Rifle Series (PRS) styles of competition. We are currently also trialing L22 gong shooting.
Club Matches (Full Bore):
Our normal club matches are held on Saturday afternoons.
The distance for our usual matches are from 300m up to 900m and typically increase by 100m - 200m each match.
Due to limited resources for hosting visitors, particularly those who don't have their own rifle, or have not already been inducted. Protocols to manage visitors have been updated.
Currently, any prospective visitor needs to make contact either through this website's contact form, or a direct message on our Facebook page, or by a telephone call with the below members.
If we have the resources for the intended day, a booking may be taken. If we don't have the resources another date may be booked. First time visitors must be inducted and supervised by an experienced club member.
FOR VISITORS WISHING TO SHOOT, THERE IS NO JUST TURNING UP FOR A SHOT WITHOUT PRIOR CONTACT AND MAKING A BOOKING.
We are not a sight-in service for shooters not interested in the sport of long range target shooting or joining a club and being an active member.
Besides club activities, the Pinjar Range offers week day sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays for casual shooters wishing to sight-in or practice. If this is what you're are looking for we suggest contacting the Bassendean Bellevue Rifle Club regarding weekday casual shooting.
