![]() Perth Fremantle Rifle Club and Beretta Australia present 2025 Barry and Son Firearms Cup Sunday 13 April 2025
The Perth Fremantle Rifle Club Barry and Son Cup on the 13th April was a rip snorter of an event. This was the third year of our competition and 46 shooters from far and wide took to the mound with many taking the opportunity to blow out our target centres. The competition format included rolling through 2x10 and 2x15 shot applications all at 600m over eight targets. Sporter Production Class Open winners were Martin McCarthy who didn’t drop a shot on 250.30, Brett Boneham 249.28, David Zeller 247.26 and Grant Palmer 247.22 Sporter Production Class winners were Stuart Bice 247.29, Mel Duff 244.29, Damien Clover 242.21 and Will Scott 239.14 F Standard winners were Jarrod Bell 288.16, Tony Whittemore 283.90, Lance Whitney 279.13 and Jodi Hitch 277.14 F-Open winners were Adam Delaporte 282.11 and Jeff Paton 276.80 FTR winners were David Bliss 288.16, Hendric Laursen 265.90 and Mark Prince 265.80 The TR winner was Stephen Crago 235.16 New Guest and Prospective New Member Intake: There are two main expression of interest (EOI) periods for new guests and prospective new members each year. Spots for the intake are limited and selective. Contact Brett at [email protected] for details. Season: Our target shooting season runs on Saturdays from early February through to mid December. Precision Service Rifle (PSR) Program: On selected consecutive Saturday mornings we hold PSR Centre fire (PSRCF) and Rim fire .22LR (PSR22) events which are run separate to our normal afternoon Club Full-Bore club matches. Full-Bore (FB) Club Matches: Our normal club matches are held on Saturday afternoons. The distance for our usual matches are from 300m up to 900m and typically increase by 100m - 200m each match. FOR NEW VISITORS WISHING TO SHOOT, THERE IS NO JUST TURNING UP FOR A SHOT. WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-IN's. We are not a sight-in service for shooters not interested in the sport of long range target shooting, or joining a club and being an active member. The Perth and Fremantle Rifle Clubs were both formed in 1902 and merged to form the Perth Fremantle Rifle Club in 2008. In December 2015, after 102 years of shooting on the Swanborne Rifle Range, the Perth Fremantle Rifle Club moved to our new home - Pinjar Rifle Range.
The Pinjar Rifle Range is the headquarters of the Western Australian Rifle Association. The Range is located on the corner of Higgins and Wandoo Roads in Pinjar, Perth, Western Australia. Perth Fremantle Rifle Club shares this facility with six other Perth Metropolitan clubs.
Club shooting and activities are weekends only.
